BUTTERFLY GIRLS

The Butterfly Girls are the young ladies section of NCNW, Virginia Beach Chapter. They meet monthly and discuss many different topics, they give back to the community, and participate in fun events and activities. 

 

Their annual goals include but are not limited to:

  • Spiritual Growth

  • African-American Heritage and Traditions

  • Self-Exploration and Determination

  • Physical Self Awareness and Health

  • Financial Discipline

  • Political Awareness

  • Academic Discipline

  • International and Cross Cultural Awareness

  • Social Responsibility

  • Leadership

  • Creativity in Arts

  • Collective Work and Responsibility.

They are also expecting to complete at least 2 service projects as well.

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING BASKETS

The girls collect food items and create baskets to be given to needy families during the Thanksgiving holiday.

SHOE DRIVE

The girls collected shoes that were donated to a shelter.

PAINT PARTY

The girls got to attend a paint party with NCNW members.

ANNUAL COOKIES FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS ACTIVITY

Each December the Butterfly Girls make cookies and other yummy treats for first responders and deliver them to help brighten their holidays!

LOTION & CARDS

At the meeting the girls got to make their own lotion and they wrote thank you cards to military members.
